"Art and nature inspire me every day."

I was born in London and grew up in Australia. I’ve since traveled and worked in many places between there and here. At Lucien Lagrange Studio, we’ve brought together a group of design professionals from many different places around the world. Each of us bring such a diversity of perspectives.

At the beginning of a project, we come up with a unique story and concept vision to get everyone inspired. Attention to the details adds value and uniqueness to each space.

Designing a palace is a unique experience. In London, part of my design career was spent designing residences for royalty in the Middle East and the Far East. Whilst in Europe, I also designed interiors for the hospitality industry, created furniture lines for a company in Italy, and launched many designs at the Milan Salone del Mobili, the world’s largest furniture exhibition. I’ve gained a broad knowledge of products which I draw upon daily in our design thinking.

From textures to patterns to colors, art and nature inspire me every day. If I wasn’t working in architecture, I think I’d be an artist. Or a fashion designer.

Lucien is very involved in every project in the studio every day. I admire his work on the Carbon & Carbide building. There’s so much attention to detail—it’s my favorite building in Chicago.

I try to deliver designs that are above and beyond our clients’ vision. I’d like to be known for my creativity, energy and empathy in creating beautiful artistic spaces that are emotionally pleasing.
